Dysfunctional teams
Do you have a problem team member causing the break up of a good team? Do you have a team that is unmotivated and underperforming? Has you team undergone a lot of changes which they are not coming to terms with? Is your team in conflict and causing you a lot of effort and time to manage it?
Introduction We all know how effective teams can be when they are working well. When something goes wrong the team can quickly become dysfunctional and to get back on track can be quite a challenge. This two part facilitated exercise can help you analyse the problems and come up with a set of actions to put the team back on course to effective working.
Objectives
To analyse the teams current status and to put a plan into action to move it forward to an agreed outcome
Brief content Stage one To analyse the causes and outline the problems Meeting with the team leader and to conduct individual interviews with team members. Questions will be tailored to the needs of the team and centred around the status of the team now and what is needed for the future. This will give valuable feedback into where we are now in relation to the key aims of developing a working environment in line with agreed objectives, and will identify key areas for targeting within the workshop. Once general questions are agreed upon they will be expanded out to ensure key areas are covered.
Stage two To set a tailored interactive facilitated team workshop to review where they are now and to plan for moving forward. The content of this is determined by the outcome of the research stage. Typically it involves teams working through some of the issues and looking at best practice and then agreeing a way forward. This would involve the team presenting back the team outcomes from the activities and finalised with commitments from the manager and the team members.

Method of Training Our courses are highly participative with delegates working from a workbook, linked with group activities and role-play, as appropriate.
